The Era of Deception and It’s Chaos that Ensues
We are living in an era of deception. Deception is the name of the game in any battle and this spiritual battle is no exception.
It seems as though todays world is full of deception everywhere we turn. However, we perceive this to be something new because many of us have started a spiritual awakening. Deception has been around since the beginning of humanity.
The deceivers, ironically, are the ones who are most deceived by manipulators. God tells us about these deceivers:
2 Timothy 3:13 KJV
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Of course many of us learn this as we mature and grow in life. As we notice the discrepancy between other people’s actions and words, we start to question everything.
And question everything we should! After all, God tells us that once we realize we have been deceived, it is our responsibility to avoid future deception. Yes, there will still be moments of cognitive dissonance because we always have to learn if something is real or fake first.
I go into a little more detail about how these deceivers are narcissists in my books and on my YouTube channel, as well as on Quora.
How do we tell the difference between real and fake?
One common response among survivors is to trust the intuition. Your instincts will tell you if paying attention. It is important to keep in mind that if aligned with the Godhead, you will discern between truth and lies the correct way.
If aligned with the devil, or just not 100% with the Godhead, you will see truth and lies as the opposite. Meaning you will believe the lies as truth. This is why it is very challenging to present evidence of a wrong doing to the wicked, because they don’t think they did anything wrong. They think empaths are the abusers.
Mind you, some evildoers know exactly what they are doing and just don’t care. These are the narcissists that create drama and chaos wherever they go and they take it with them wherever they go. They leave a massive trail of deception and destruction behind them so they can watch the pawns battle it out with each other.
What do we do when faced with deception?
Here is where vigilance plays a very important role to help determine what is and is not fact. A great example is when someone shares their explanation of scripture. We read their explanation and then go to our version of the Bible, and re-read the verse(s) while letting the Holy Spirit guide us in our interpretation.
The same concept applies with information we receive. We are to look things up for ourselves, research like it is a homework assignment. Never believe the first thing that pops up. Deception is included in the old saying, “If it is on the internet, then it must be true.” Don’t fall for that.
As in any game, there are several sides and we all get played by each one at some point in life. Admitting we were duped is tough, but necessary to remain vigilant so we are not continuously deceived. My dad told me as a kid, “Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.”
In the game of narcissism, that goes both ways to include not believing what you see and half of what you hear. Trusting God above all else is what will help you see and hear clearly what is truth.
