Focusing on the Spiritual | Trauma Healing and Spiritual Growth

When we are healing from trauma and growing closer to God, we learn to focus on the spiritual because that is where life and peace are located. There is no peace and life or light in this fallen world. We only find peace, light, and life internally from the God spirit in us. When we focus on the spiritual, we are able to see more clearly to solve a plethora of issues in our lives and prevent additional problems from occurring. 

When focused on the physical, whatever it is causing discomfort or other distracting phenomena will consume our thoughts because our flesh is weak. When focused on the physical, whatever issue it is will become more severe in our minds and cause us to seek unwise counsel from worldly folks, aka narcissists. *Disclaimer: I am taking about minor issues in general that are non-threatening and can be alleviated with patience and natural remedies. Focusing on the spiritual helps us better discern whether an issue needs worldly intervention or not. 

Focusing on the spiritual allows us to better adapt to the new spiritual norm which you can learn more about in this YouTube playlist, Adapting to the New Spiritual Norm! Staying focused on the spiritual allows us flexibility to make better choices that we otherwise wouldn't consider when focusing on the flesh (physical). Yes! Focusing on the physical leads to major limitations on our choices in life. In the spiritual, we have unlimited choices because God gives us free will and we don't see those unlimited choices until we are awakened and out of the matrix. 

Remember, we are out of the matrix spiritually; another reason to stay focused on the spiritual because if we resort back to focusing on the physical, we can go back into the matrix spiritually and compromise God's plan for us. Even though we are in the matrix physically, it is important to stay out of it spiritually and we can only do that by focusing on the spiritual. Plus, we must focus on the spiritual when reading the Bible to ensure the Holy Spirit is interpreting God's word on our behalf. We cannot trust the physical; we can only trust the spiritual.
