Restoration Season Post Narcissistic Abuse

During narcissistic abuse our bodies become so tense and we don't realize the extent until we begin to heal. Once the healing begins, you will make it to a season of restoration. Restoration includes peace, health, and clarity about life. It takes time and patience during restoration season. God restores by reversal. Let's cover a few more details that branch out from the June 2026 newsletter  about restoration season and what it looks like.

You will find that during the beginning of restoration season, just like the beginning of trauma healing, you will want to rest and relax more often. The difference between restoration season and the beginning of trauma healing is that when you begin to heal from trauma, you will want to sleep more often. In restoration season, you won't feel the need to sleep as much as you want to rest and relax. You will still undergo the transformation process while you rest and relax a bit more often. 

As the transformation process continues with you wanting to rest and relax more, you will experience moments of mental fatigue. Mental fatigue looks like 'stagnation' but you can overcome this by getting a walk or other exercise in for the day to alleviate any negative impacts from mental fatigue. You can also take a nap to relieve mental fatigue and just now that this part of the restoration season is very short! Next, that feeling of stagnation that stems from mental fatigue is not always from mental fatigue. Hold on! Stay with me. 

There are moments in restoration season where it will feel as though life itself is moving slower than molasses. Meaning, it will feel as if life is moving slower than you ever remember it moving. Here is the good news - Ephesians 5:16. We are redeeming the time we thought was stolen from us by narcissists. As we redeem the time we start to notice how we are reflecting more to connect dots between our trauma and what the matrix lied to us about. We start to see through more lies of this world and connect more dots for the transformation process! 

We must connect the dots God is revealing so we can gain the wisdom and understanding He need us to have going forward.
