Learning How to Date Again
Share
One day God will bring us His handpicked partner when the time is right after we heal from narcissistic abuse, if that is a hearts desire. Not everyone will want to date again and some may not be meant to date or get married again. It is all up to God 's plan for us and we must trust what He has for us. I will be brining you all tips and motivational content to help those who are interested in dating again after healing and staying single for a while.
As I continue to learn how to dater again, I want to bring you all some real talk about what it is like when God brings His handpicked parter to us. It is a process that God puts us through to meet 'the one" He has for us. As you will learn more about, my boyfriend and I met in passing for almost 10 months or so before he got the courage to approach me. We have a love story in the making for you all! You can catch some of the details in this YouTube video about how God gave my boyfriend, Sam, content one day for the ministry.
We are still learning more about each other as we should be doing and no, we are not joined at the hip. I knew he wasn't a narcissist the moment we started talking. His eyes still show life and a soul. We are all a work in progress, so don't allow your past with a narcissist cloud your judgement when you do finally meet the one God picked for you. Pay attention to the eyes. If there is no life or soul. then they are a narcissist. Remember that everyone is healing from trauma on God's time too. Understand that narc fleas will exist even on "the one" until you can help them overcome them.
That is why God waits until His appointed time to introduce you to your God-picked partner; He needs you to be ready to identify when your partner needs help overcoming some narc fleas (aka triggers). Everyone is subjected to narcissistic abuse daily so it should come as no surprise when you do see subtle signs of your new parter being triggered by trauma. We learn that we must just be there for them and help them overcome those triggers when appropriate. They may not know they were triggered by trauma so use your discernment. For example, my boyfriend is very protective of me and can be easily triggered if someone says anything negative about me.
When that happens it doesn't bother me; it bothers him. Over time he will not let it upset him too much and he will learn it isn't worth confronting the abuser. In the meantime, we still learn from each other and that is what will happen when you finally meet your God-given partner. You will learn from each other and learn more about each other daily. That is how it should be and you will figure it out along the way. Remember, as I teach often, God does expect us to have it all figured out right away. We have lessons to learn and a spiritual battle to fight!
